Quality begins at origin
Heritage and Legacy
Six generations.One commitment.
Since 1865, our understanding of quality has been clear: it does not begin in the factory. It begins at the source
In the land and in the people who farm it. And in the expertise that turns origin into real value for every product

Since 1865
Quality has always been our starting point.
Since 1865, every generation at JNG has carried forward the same way of understanding origin, along with the same belief and responsibility: quality and excellence do not begin when paprika arrives at the factory. They begin long before. In the land, in the people who farm it, in agronomic expertise, in the selection of every harvest, and in seeing origin as the first link in the quality chain.
What began more than 150 years ago as a family-run paprika business is now an international benchmark in premium products for the food industry, with a presence on five continents and a strategic partner to some of the world’s most demanding food companies.
Yet our greatest evolution has not been growth.
It has been understanding that the future of quality is not built on better processes alone, but on a better source. Today, we combine six generations of experience with science, innovation, regenerative agriculture, traceability, and engineering to develop solutions that deliver more value, greater consistency, and better results for our customers. We still do what we did in 1865. The difference is that today, we know quality begins long before.
Quality begins at origin
OurStory
A story of constant evolution.
Our story can’t be told through dates alone.
It comes to life in how each generation
has expanded the way we understand quality.

-
1st Generation
It all starts with a belief.
In 1865, Pedro Navarro Martínez founded the company
with a simple idea that was truly transformative for its time:
it wasn’t just about making paprika.
Quality had to become the true differentiator
of every product. -
2nd Generation
Turning a craft into a culture.
Pedro Navarro Martínez was succeeded by his son, Juan Navarro Personal,
who strengthened that philosophy and passed on a way of working
built on deep knowledge of raw materials,
commitment to growers,
and quality as a non-negotiable principle. -
3rd Generation
Specializing to excel.
Under the leadership of Juan Navarro García, the company grew
by strengthening its specialization and building
an international reputation for the quality of its products.
France and South America were the first destinations of a journey
that would later reach Germany, the United Kingdom, Canada,
the United States, and many other international markets.
Quality was no longer just a local distinction.
It became a value recognized around the world. -
4th Generation
In 1964, Juan Navarro García’s son-in-law,
José Antonio Martínez Campillo, took over the company.
He significantly increased production and sales
and expanded the facilities to a total of 7,500 m²
on company-owned land. -
5th Generation
Innovating while staying true to our roots.
Juan José Martínez Navarro led a major industrial modernization.
In 1986, the company built and launched its oleoresin extraction plant.
New technologies, quality certifications, increased production capacity,
and an ongoing focus on improvement established JNG
as one of the leading international names in the industry.
During this period, JNG also made a strong commitment
to organic paprika, anticipating a more responsible
approach to agriculture. -
6th Generation
The future begins at origin.
Today, Juan Luis Martínez Giménez represents the sixth generation
of the family. He sees innovation not as an end in itself, but as the best
way to stay true to JNG’s history.
This generation is leading a new model built on regenerative agriculture, scientific knowledge, traceability, and the development of paprika and oleoresins designed to deliver
greater performance, stability, and added value to the food industry. -
Today
after six generations, we continue working to make our products
a key differentiator for the food industry, through a system
built on regenerative agriculture, traceability, technical expertise,
and continuous improvement.
Because quality doesn’t begin when paprika enters production.
It begins long before. It begins at origin.
In the field. In the soil.
